Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I also know what it feels like to not get the right treatment and do everything right. I found out that my problem this whole time was complex ptsd but depression and anxiety were my diagnoses. I believe they are actually symptoms for me because once I started tackling complex ptsd, I started to get better.
Idk what your diagnosis is but you might want to seek out other opinions if therapy and medicine have not worked. Doctors are quick to slap on the depression diagnosis without digging and it ends up hurting patients.
As for your friend, perhaps she is overwhelmed and doesn't know how to support you. I think what she said was awful either way, saying she never considered you a friend. That tells me she may not be worth the effort to fix the friendship and communication between you. But maybe this is an area you can work on for future friendships.
If you trust your current therapist, talk to them about this. They may help.
Oh honey your not alone. And that was not a nice thing your friend did there. She is not good friend material.

Message me if you'd like to discuss it. You're worth 'fixing' simply because you're worth it! there doesn't need to be any other reason. You are enough! Period!
