Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Hang in there. Talk to your admins to see if there is anything they can relax on. Get with the other teachers and see if you can help each other. The 5th grade teachers in my district got together and decided each one would do the work of one subject. So my friend only has to do paperwork and video lessons for the math. Another teacher does reading and so on. It really helped with time management and stress reduction.
Look after your self.
Are there any things that you can take off your plate?
I am finding that more and more, I have to just sit back and
do my best.
I wish you gentle hugs and urge you to take good care of yourself.
Hopefully you won't end up having to take a leave but if
you do, you do. You can only do what you can do.
And yes, I know I probably sound irrational when I say I want to quit, given the number of people who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic. I'm trying to keep everything in perspective.
I'm not going to say any more because I will probably start babbling. Again, thank you ALL for responding!
