At work here and my son and I are trying to cover freight... We called a guy named Paul that moves freight for us at least twice a week... His wife told Ryan that they were not moving any freight today..

Another one of our carriers called us to let us know that times got tough for Paul, as a truck driver and he couldnt take it anymore and he killed hisself... My son is devastated.. We just talked to him before Christmas...

There has got to be another way.. There just has to be... He left behind 5 children and his wife..I just cant believe it... Another one bites the dust...

I just got on here and found this. I'm so terribly sorry. Over the years we have lost coworkers to cancer,heart conditions,accidents,crime and for me the saddest one was to suicide. Honestly my heart was broken when Art killed himself. So I think I can empathize with your pain and that of your son. You have no reason to apologize. Your family and Paul's are in my thoughts and prayers. ((( Hugs ))) to you and yours my dear friend.

sitting here thinking of you beastie, many prayers and hoping you and your son are coping the best you can..i know...I've been reading about quite a few suicides myself here in my area.
I was kinda NOT surprised, ppl are just struggling like they never have and things like faith, don't give up and don't worry and it will pass are just not cuttin it for some. Prayers dear. Thinking of us all xx

I am sorry beastie for your pain. I guess we all can relate to the sadness of suicide because we were once almost there ourselves. It hurts the heart to see that someone was so sad and overwhelm that suicide was the only answer. My prayers go out to Paul and his family. Also, you and yours.

How tragic, Beastie. Who knows what God's plan may hold. We can't tell what people really have lurking in their minds or Gods. My Preacher friend would probably suggest that perhaps he was going to snap and hurt his Wife implying that God does things to save others or allow others to grow and learn from the tragedy. IDK, the reasoning is far above my head. There are also passages in the Bible that suggest that good people will be taken from earth earlier while bad people are left to the suffering because they have more lessons to learn.

I am so sorry
I only just found this
my own son tried to takes his life once - but we found him in time

this is so sad and will affect so many people not just his own immediate family

What a terrible tragedy...

I have been hearing similar stories locally after the Irene sorm hit my region badly.

Sad. Suicide accomplishes nothing.
