I have a quick question. I have been debating suicide since January and am wondering if I should do it. I mean, of course I shouldn't but I cannot get these dang obsessions out of my mind. I really need someone to talk to. I don't know, I guess I am just crazy. It also scares me that I might just be doing this to gain attention. This freaks me out b/c I hate attention and being the center of it.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Please don't do it, sweetie!! I came close to doing it about 30 years ago and I'm so glad I didn't. I've had lots of good times since then. It won't always be like this!!
If you want to gain attention, but hate to be the center of attention, maybe that's why it appeals to you, in part. You'd get the attention, but you wouldn't have to be there to see it.
It worries me that you've been considering this for so long and now you are taking it a step further by talking about it. It makes me think that you are are closer to actually doing it.
It also tells me that the healthy part of you does NOT want to do it. Listen to the healthy part of yourself, hon.
Talk to us if it will help. But better yet, talk to your parents. They will not 'like' hearing it, but they will want to hear it. Have you been put on new antidepressants since being in the hospital? Sometimes, they have the opposite effect of what they are supposed to do.
If you commit suicide, you will be leaving everybody you leave behind in a pain that will never leave them.
School is not as important as your life and well being. If it has to be put on hold, then so be it. This -- YOU -- are so much more important than that!!!
Take care!! Please open up and let them know how things are really going. You are not letting anyone down by 'not getting better' as fast as they think you are. Hiding the truth is only adding to your depression!!!
