strong urge to cut..help

i havent cut in months..other than the other night..but that wasnt for me..
i vowed to stop cutting a few months ago..but i have the biggest urge to do it now. i dont want to. i dont. i really dont. but. it feels like i need to. and i know thats not even true. i'd feel better if i did. but i feel like shit if i dont...i hurt so much right now. i wanna let it go =/ help?

depends on what you listen to... I find Metallica, Godsmack, Marilyn Manson, Suicidal Tendencies very helpful. Let the emotions out through the music instead of the blade.

do you have Pantera? Godsmack? play anything by either one of those ...put headphones on and turn it up.... Try "Walk" from Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power CD

well, definitely stay away from the soft sappy country music (my personal fav - but gives me major urges)

i wasnt being really particular about anything. a bit of anything i could think of.. creed, death cab for cutie, escape the fate, cute is what we aim for, fuel, goo goo dolls, good charlotte, greenday, guns 'n' roses, HIM, hawk nelson, incubus...

Punkee; your post touched my heart, and I wanted to post a reply, but didn't know what to say. I didn't want to say something wrong. I did a net search of "self injury," for info, and was surprised to find that I myself fit the profile of a self injurer. I wish I had magic answers, but I don't. Are you in counseling? Wish you the best, please don't hurt yourself. I'll try the same. Peace to you.
