I've been so stressed out about classes lately. I'm meeting with my instructor on Thursday to try and sort through some of this stuff. But my stress levels are still really high. What do you guys do to shake stress away? Maybe it's something that will help me.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

I dedicate some time to myself, I get involved in an activity that keeps my mind busy (I take my camera and start taking pictures of nature).
When I was studying in college i used to study in a place that was quiet, and I'd take "mind breaks" every hour or two, depending on the amount of study work I had.
I hope this helps.
Something that's helped me immensely in the past has been yoga. It's good for your mind and your body, which in turn is good, again, for your mind :) The great thing about it is, whether you want relaxing, low-impact meditation or challenging poses to really take your mind off of things, you can pick and choose what you like best. This also helped with my headaches and sleeplessness - now that I think about it, why did I ever stop...?
Anyway, I hope this helps even a little. Good luck with the rest of your schooling!

Exercise is particularly useful. When you can't sleep, physically push yourself to exhaustion. You'll sleep like a log, guaranteed.
You need to find some--and trust me on this--music that gives you goosebumps. Whenever you come across a song that does that to you when the singer hits that chorus or whatever it is that does it that sends those shivers down your body, make a note of it, or if it's already on your computer, CD, MP3 player, phone, add it to a special playlist. EVERY TIME you come across one. No matter what genre, be open. Give up any stigmas toward any genre; if it does that one thing to give you that chill add it, take note of the artist and song, whatever you gotta do. You'll end up with a nice little playlist. Then when you are feeling stressed you take that playlist and hit shuffle and let yourself get into the groove. I am telling you it is thee best thing ever for stress!
