Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I've been putting in applications for a job for about a year now. Lots of rejection letters. Been pretty depressed and talking a lot about it in theraapy. I was telling my therapist the other night that it seemed odd the recruiter was not following up on emails after inviting me to an interview. She said that I was having cognitive distortions. I didn't think so. We finally got the interview scheduled and I stayed home from work today to prep for the interview and be ready. The dude never called! I can't freaking believe it! I've never heard of anything like this. In all of my working years, I've never, ever encountered anything like this. I was sitting here sobbing on my bed, feeling like an absolute idiot. I actually felt worse then when I've had breakups, no kidding. Just a horrible day overall. I had almost cancelled my therapy last week as I felt it was pointless, I think I might take a week off from therapy and some time off from applications. I was right afterall.
