Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Thankfully for me, I have never entertained the thought of staying in bed. I make myself get up daily, shower, get dressed and go outside for at least a little while.
Well, maybe when you get home from work you can maybe sit up instead of head for the bed? Maybe get online while you sit in a chair or something (I assume you have a laptop if you are in the bed). I guess I'm not one that can give good advice here since I have not been in the same situation.
i'm here if you want to talk about it bear. hugs xxxxx
I know hubby is mad right now cuz he just got home & is in doing the dishes. I NEED the UMPH to get my ass up & going. Do some housework. Its hard, it really is.

I agree with Kaino - just get out of bed for a short while at a time, even if it's to watch a tv show or read. Each time you're up is a small achievement. Try going for a short walk, even if it's just around the block. I know you won't probably feel like it, but try and force yourself to. And check in with your doctor - if you're not on medication, you may need to look at it to help get you over the hurdle.
All the best!
