I've heard taking one's life is the 'ultimate' sin. If suicide is such a 'sin' does God then give a special reward for those having endured in misery thru to the end? Does God love a 'cheerful' sufferer?

I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...

Has anyone heard from Jenn, she had an adult son with aspergers, Eric, they lived a long time with her grandmother, then they moved into an apartment. She had a funny little picture if I recall of a short dark haird woman as part of her name in a red dress. There are so many people who have dropped away from this room...I wonder where they are, and miss them. Wishing that DS could become what it...

mal, no one person has the power to condemn themselves, we are not Gods.
Life is not a tragedy. It's a real boon and a surprise and a gift. If we think of all those sperm daddy had, and all those eggs mummy had, and how we had only that one opportunity to exist at all, then hey. what a feckin brilliant piece of luck that we won the lottery like this.
If we throw that away we are idiots. Just because we're unhappy right now doesn't mean we'll be unhappy in 2 years time, or 5 years time - or even six weeks' time.
To kill yourself MAKES you an asshole. Because it means you have gone over one step from being profoundly unhappy, to hurting others in order to get rid of your own pain. Your pain comes about due to what was done to you - how dare a person pass that on? How dare a person, so harmed by what has happened to them, go ahead and KNOWINGLY inflict that agony on another?
Whatever harm was done to you you can survive. You can grow beyond it. How does one grow beyond the suicide of a loved one? you can't. It's blocked.
Absolutely filthy to do it to other people no matter how you feel alone today and feel unloved right now and don't think anyone would care (world's smallest violin comes out.) How dare a person be that superficial and facile.
We are all tested in the fire of life. Life is not fun for a lot of us and if I sat you down and told you my life story you'd be amazed I was standing here today to tell it.
I don't speak because I'm ignorant. I speak because I have been through the fire, come out the other side, and I don't dress it up in frilly frocks to mollify the bleeding hearts.
