Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Today was hard. Really hard. After an argument, I still chose to go to him. On the way, I was in an accident. He didn't stay by side. I've been here before but this time is different. I could of died. He still left. I couldn't advocate for myself. I'm struggling taking care of myself. I really don't have anyone or anyone willing to help. Just help. Not fix. Somehow even this is something that needs to be fixed in me than be helped. I'm in pain for many reasons. Physically and Emotionally. And it's starting to be too heavy to hold.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I'm so sorry that you were in an accident and that your're feeling alone
I think to get away from a relationship like this you have to do what feels uncomfortable and that you really don't want to do until it does feel comfortable and does become what you want to do if that makes sense
Then you'll see how strong you are and how little you get from this person
That he's not worth it and you will heal and you can move on and be happy
Baby steps sweetie and a big hug of support...xo
I'm a family of one too and was feeling the same way today. I wasn't in a car accident, but I had a really hard fall and scraped my arm badly. Driving home I kept screaming at the top of my lungs, not because of the physical pain but because I felt I had no one who I could call. You are your best advocate dear. Please take care and be well. BIG HUG
It is more peaceful when we don’t engage. It’s understandable you feel the way you do, stage 4 is serious. You’re a kind person. I do hope you get the help you need and deserve.
I do depend on him as my caregiver. I leaned on him when I got sick, unable to do things on my own or daily tasks, I now look for aids to help me and my disabilities as I can longer expect help from him. It’s ok if he can’t, I just feel unloved and hurt because I know he’s doing it out of anger. Trying to let him heal his way while trying to heal myself.
Suncloudjd thank you for your sensitive and kind words. Thank you also for believing in good for me. It helps to have support without judgement and patience to my healing. You’ve helped me a lot in my healing journey.
Hasty_05 thank you for that insight. I’m sorry you’ve been through it once and even more sorry it continued. I hope that is not the case anymore. You have a good soul and should be paired with such. You said exactly what I’m going through. I’m trying and hoping for love to find me as well as strength for myself.
Melt2020 thank you for caring and wishing me well. I’m sorry you took a bad fall. I really hope you’re ok and a speedy recovery. I think isolation has a big factor in depression. DS has helped me because of this. I hope you were able to talk to someone maybe here but still I am sorry there was no one there at the moment to be there how you needed. It makes a difference. I too have done the same.
