Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

i feel really depressed today. Like I’m never going to go anywhere in life. I was supposed to graduate from college this summer but now it’s been pushed to fall because of classes. I’ve been in college since 2012, I’m ready to get out. I feel like I’m such a disappointment to my parents. Like I genuinely think they think I’m like this fuck up who isn’t ever going to get her life together. I think they secretly compare me to their friends kids and think wow well I’ve got both to say about my daughter because she hasn’t done anything with her life. Maybe I shouldn’t care about that , but I do. I feel like I just waste days away, doing nothing I have no motivation. And I need to have it now more than ever if I want to be someone. I just could really use a friend . It sounds really selfish , but a lot of my friends are all seemingly doing fantastic in their lives right now so talking to them makes me feel like a piece of shit, and like I’m just bringing everything down. I don’t know just typing all of this has helped me a bit. I’m just tired of feeling like a loser , it feels like my mom especially is disappointed in me. She doesn’t even text me very much anymore since she found out I’m not graduating this summer, and when she does it’s usually just to complain about how I haven’t gotten this done or this done yet. It’s frustrating because I need a mom who I can talk to about anything, I’ve never had that and I’ve come to the realization I’m not going to. I feel like I’m unloading a lot on here right now, but it feels good so w/e.

I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...
