I have been gone on a two week Harley ride and came home to find out that my sons ole dog has been having seisures.....

Today we take him to the vet and have him put down.. My son is so very sad, he couldnt even go to work yesterday.. Its gonna be a real hard day today.. Appt at 4pm.. Poor Rusty........... And my poor son.... Very sad day today... Could you all send some positivity for my son and poor Rusty? Thanks guys... Its appreciated..

Thank you all... If Rusty was not so old, I would get medication for him for the seizures but he very old, blind and deaf and missing most of his teeth.. We have had him for 14 years and I dont know how old he was when we got him... He is in pretty sad shape......... but Coda loves him all the same... He has lasted longer then any dog we have ever had...

Thank you so much, everyone... I am now just counting down the hours..5 More hours.... I know my son is not going to handle this very well and neither will I.. Dakota is just a big teddy bear with a big heart...

He has been talking for months about getting another dog but now that it has come down to it, he says he could never go through this again.. My heart breaks

Ohhh bless your heart. I know how difficult this is -- we had to put down our dog about a month ago, and it was HORRIBLE. The grief is terrible -- when you've had a dog for many many years, they're not a pet -- they're a part of the family!

I'm so sorry for your loss. . . . I believe that we will see our beloved pets again. Surely if Jesus said, "suffer the little children to come to me, for theirs is the kingdom," the how could he not allow pets into the kingdom?

Oh, Hunnie!! I'm so sorry. Very sweet of Beth and all the messages of comfort here. I know it's hard. You will all see Rusty again.

I am sending prayers for comfort and healing. Knowing you, I'm sure Rusty has had a very good life.

:( im so sorry thats really sad. it really can feel like loosing a member of the family. rusty will be at peace, im sure he will miss u all too. my luv goes out to u and ur son and everyone who loved rusty.x

Oh Beastie........ I am so sorry........ You know we had to put my precious 15 year old Bailey to sleep in April......... April 4th...... so I know the pain..............my heart goes out to you and your son......... I am going to pm you something...... I won't post it here. but even though it was really hard to watch, it brought me so much comfort.......

Hugest of hugs. If it helps in any small way, remind yourself (and your son) that Rusty is free of all illnesses and pains now, he can see and hear again, and he can run around like a puppy.

At least that's what I believe.
