Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
But we are all humans, we all do stupid things sometimes and make mistakes and there is no reason that we should not be able to learn to forgive ourselves.
If you want to chat let me know, i'd also love the chance to talk to someone who is going through a hard time and get some weight of my chest.
(((Hugs))).
That might help you.Or if you are religious call your pastor or another leader in your church.
You can also call your local hospital ER if you feel you are at the point of doing something dangerous or call 911.
I am sorry you are hurting.
Know that you are not alone.
This happened to me once too, I was drinking and felt suicidal. Deep down I didn't really think I could do it, but I knew I needed serious help. I called 211 and got the number for my local psych center (the ones where police and doctors send people for voluntary and involuntary evaluations). I called that center and talked with the admissions lady. I told her about my problems and that I felt suicidal. She talked with me and told me to come in or call the police (to bring me in). I ended up driving there in the middle of the night. I was eventually admitted and looking back, it was the best thing I did at that time! I didn't like it at first, but after I put down my guard and started participating, it helped me. When it's urgent, and life is on the line, then the stay becomes involuntary and it's a locked unit. Otherwise, if you need to talk, call one of those numbers, family, friends, or clergy. Please update us.
