I have been depressed lately and think it is mostly caused by money worries, looking for a job and a host of other things. I had bad anxiety so my doctor prescribed Buspar. At first it made me more anxious. I am still anxious but not quire as crazy. So I told her I was depressed now. The anxiety overrode the depression. Having no money she said she can prescribe either Zoloft or Prozac because they are on a cheap prescription plan that even I can almost afford. So I wonder what people here think would be a better choice. All I know is I feel bad and the anxiety is still an issue. I expect a period of time of adjustment. I need more confidence and to be less negative. This job hunting is depressing and my fiance died 4 years ago. In reality my life sucks and I would be happy just to get through the rest of my life like a zombie and not have any of these feelings. I just want to function at a reasonable level and with no money now, these are my choices. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

most energizing of the SSRIs if fatigue is a problem. Both have been around a long time and have a good track record. Any AD only works
for 60 to 65 % of those who try it , so if one doesn't work, try the other.
I feel the same way and tight now I am just taking the Buspar. I remember being on Antidepressants before and unable to sleep and to me that is the best part of life.
