Hey. I started on pristiq over a month ago and haven't had any ill effects. Seems to be working for me. I have had depression and anxiety for a long time and this seemed like a logical next step.

reneep I have been on Pristig several years ago didn't have much luck with it but don't go by me. I have treatment resistant major depression and haven't had much luck with many meds. I am curious though what is a "genesight test" I never heard of it. Was it prescribed by your doctor? And did insurance cover the cost? Thanks hope you feel better johnnyboy

I was on Pristiq several years ago and I thought it helped a lot. At the time the doctor would give me samples but they ran dry and it was too expensive for me to pay for it on my own. I did have some side effects in the beginning. Nervousness and chills. I would like to try it again because I need something but don't know if insurance will cover it. Good Luck.

I called my doctor and he gave me a lower dose, 25 mg, because I was so scared. I started taking it yesterday. I'm not sure how long this takes to work, but I wish it would hurry up! I'm so anxious today, I don't know what to do.

The genesight test is where they swab your mouth and send it to a lab. They run tests to determine what medications will work best with your genes. I am still trying to get my insurance to cover it.
