You have every right to tell the owners what's what and how unfair all this is. I would be furious!!!

can you have a polite word with the owners and just ask to keep them under better control or else find a way to keep them out of your garden?

maybe if you go and talk to the owners and they can work it out where they can fix the damage and replace the fish. so sorry you are going through this. love you mean

Oh Man Beast...I'm afraid you have no choice but to tell the neighbors as nicely as possible that this is just not something you can live with. I hope they are good people and offer to do some replacing for you.

I have problems with my neighbors due to my dogs and horses, and have decided to relocate. I unfortunately don't think there is any easy answer to your problem, as you will have to go to court and set up boundaries. I'm really sorry.

Go over to the neighbors with a welcome gift of some kind a pie or cake or some little widget. Ask them if by chance they could watch the dogs as they have been in your pond which houses your pet fish.
They may not be aware of the situation, then if it occurs again stone them with BIG rocks (the neighbors not the dogs).

They are really quite nice people and this is the first time I have said anything. Im hoping they are building a fence around their yard. I like the dogs as well. I just whistled at them a minute ago and a teen said he would get the dogs home and he was sorry. I just dont want to cause any animosity.. Hopefully my lilypads will grow back.. They are quite expensive. I have more then enough fish but even though I have so many they mean alot to me. (I know, kinda stupid). I just dont want them punishing the dogs for frolicking in my pond..

I think you do need to have some calm words with the neighbors,..try to stay friendly about it,.but be specific about the damage that was done,...you can't keep going on like this,...you do have to put a stop to it,...Maybe when you go to talk to them,..bring some dog bones,..or treats for the dogs,..just an idea...

I will definetly try something.. I just dont want the dogs to be punished. Sometimes I am just to damn nice for my own good (sometimes) I think I will make it over there and have a nice talk if it happens again.. They have apologized and I can get on with it.. I just hate having to confront neighbors about anything but thanks for the advice.. Unless ofcourse a bunch of my fish come floating up to the top and then I will probably cry. I know they are not real pets but I have grown them for almost five years and they mean something to me.. Peace and thank you for the advice.. I suggest talking nicely to the neighbors about their dogs...and if they choose to not care...

Document EVERYTHING. with words and pictures.

keep doing it, and make sure the neighbors KNOW you are documenting everything.

that's all you can do in my opinion.

Then if things come to court....you have all you need to prove your case.

this is all you can do in this day and age.

isnt there a law that restricts schools being built in areas without that areas permission? this way if a pedaphile lives there they dont have to move, or the children dont have to be in a bad area?

Get a snapping turtle to be guard dog of the pond. That would surprise the pooches. : ) I use to have a large aquarium and I know fish are pets too.

oh i dont know if they dont get it!! Put up the uglyist 8 foot fence between the yards. make it kinda graphic get some nice folk like you have in texas and tell them to come over for one of them paintin partys you might all have down there now.tell em they can paint them some family pictures on that there fence like you might do down in texas. maybe cook ya up somethin real spicy and hot like you might do there. I dont know I live in virgina no one cares about nothing here there all to busy driving to work and to home most of their day. ugggggg LOL
