Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I don't know what happened exactly.
I just suddenly feel so incredibly overwhelmed and helpless.
It's 2am I couldn't call anyone. Even if I had some one to call. So I came here y'all are hopefully sleeping too, but at least I can get it out .
I just got to thinking about how I'm supposed to try to talk to people and try to make friends and grow a "support team" and all that .
And it's just NOT possible. There's no such thing as a person who loves me "unconditionally....no matter what".
I can't do this! It's not possible for me to open up and actually talk to people.
It's NOT safe!
people aren't safe!
I'm not in crisis, but fairly close I think. I wish I could talk to someone but even if someone was here I couldn't talk . Id more likely run and hide. I'm panicking. Overwhelmed hopeless.
Just gotta keep reminding myself I'll be ok....this feeling will pass.
I hope it's quickly

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
But if you don't see my message, I'll write it here, too.... This seems to be stemming from the homework your therapist gave you. And you know I already replied before how it's NOT that easy to get a support network going. It takes time and effort and baby steps in finding these support people.... etc.
Tell your therapist how you are feeling. She might be pushing you too fast too hard. Ask her how these things can be accomplished, that you need the steps. She is not some school teacher after all (with her calling it "homework"), She is your therapist, and you are not being graded on this, and she is being paid to help you. She probably just doesn't know that this assignment is going to take (most people!) some time and patience and small steps.
Talk to her about this. And remember, if you feel she is pushing you too hard on things, you can always change therapists. I am on my 6th therapist. The first 4, I didn't like their style, and they would just upset me more, and give me more anxiety. So I ended it with those 4. I liked the 5th one a lot, but she retired. She referred me to my current (6th) one, and she is okay and we are getting along better after several months of getting to know each other. Just saying.... not all therapists are a good fit. Just a thought.
Try to get some sleep. Don't worry what the therapist says right now... you can talk to her about it in your next session. You are doing your best!
When I read your post the first thing that came to mind was baby steps and time
Volunteer work might help you and you might find it really rewarding
Give away what you hope to find and you just might find it
I agree though that youvshould be forthright with your therapist and accept that it will take time
Big hug sweetie....xo
I think you're all right.
I'm not working on this assignment anymore until after I talk to my therapist in a couple days.
It's too much.
Too fast
To upsetting for me yet .
I think she must have thought I was ready for more than I am yet.
I'll see her on Monday and explain that.
I think she'll understand.
Sorry for being so dramatic. I was having a complete mental meltdown/ panic attack.
Still recovering from it, to be honest but my rational thinking is coming back online.
