I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

(1) The COLA for December 1999 was originally determined as 2.4 percent based on CPIs published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Pursuant to Public Law 106-554, however, this COLA is effectively now 2.5 percent.
Obama took office in January 20, 2009
There is not a nickles worth of difference between democrats and most republicans in Washington these days and has not been since Eisenhower.
I hoped for an increase too but know the cost of everything is linked to the cost of fuel.
I draw straight Social Security.
.
I'm not leaving the country if Hill or Trump wins, but I may wish I could!
This next President may very well be a one term president.
as to expecting a cost of living increase: that's dreaming. We've got negative inflation. There is no cost of living increase. it's a decrease.
the fact that it's been left alone and not a decrease is an indication that you've had an raise in real terms.
You don't have to like his social policy, or his dictatorial way of going about things, but you can't argue that he cleaned up a financial mess he didn't make with very little loss of life.
I served my country proud , and yet I see that this country is in as bad as shape as it ever has. IMHO.
But this is my soapbox not expecting to make problems simply pointing out that what I make on SSDI I really did need the raise. We all will never agree on cretain subjects.i do know we all live in a great country. I am proud to be....
In the event that Clinton, or Trump were to win, my husband and I have a home on his indian reservation and will return for tax free living. We are both currently paying state and federal taxes for the state of NC, but I will not give a dime in taxes under either of them.
Hillary scares me less, but still I don't like her. She is said to treat staffers poorly, and is very rude to the secret service. (Really? Treating people rude when their job is to give their life if necessary to protect you?) I don't see any evidence she will even attempt to balance the budget.
Trump scares me the least of the three, but I don't like the way he boycotted the last debate. A president does not always get to determine who they talk to or deal with. He may succeed in business, but that often means walking away from bad deals. When the President runs the country there will be a lot of bad situations that he/she can not walk away from.
Sigh, who will be the least stupid in the white house?
I DIDNT EITHER.
OBAMA IS THE WORST PRESIDENT WE HAVE EVER HAD.
HOPEFULLY THE NEXT PRESIDENT WILL STRAIGHTEN THINGS OUT.
