Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I'm not suicidal but I've reached my limited. The limit in which I don't really care what happens to me. I'm fighting the best I can by going to a therapist but I don't feel any better afterwards. I find that I'm not worth taking care of. I'm not worth being here and I just let things happen to me. That's where my mind is at. I still make myself do things but that's just pulling teeth. I brought myself to the gym today but I know I'll pick up my depression at the door just like a backpack. I don't know how to live anymore, I just simply exist. Survive tomorrow so I can feel more sorry for myself tomorrow.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Is there anything that you enjoy doing right now? Maybe enjoy is the wrong word, something you usually like to do? I find I have to jump around to different things. Right now I am into the online support community. I try to reach out to people if what they write strikes me. I try to help, but I know I am just some stranger online writing words and throwing out half-assed advice. Hopefully, every now and then I help someone just a little. I tend to care more about others than myself so in trying to help them sometimes I actually listen to my own advice :) If I am just talking about me and how I feel I tend to go negative, but if I am trying to help someone I am just the opposite
Always remember YOU ARE WORTH THE FIGHT! It doesn't matter if people say you arent or you tell yourself that you arent because you are. I don't know if you are religious but God is the one that says you are worth the fight.
Second, go in small steps. Set a few goals, think of what a better job, more money, nice place to live would look like, and try to take some small steps towards your goals.
