I posted this on another support site here, but I think that it is worth a wide view and audience...so I am re-posting it here...I am very angry and frustrated with the level of care here in the US unless you have the means to fund it ..True eough, a lot of people have those resources but year after year even if you do, those are being whittled down to be less and less while the cost of care gets higer an higher.....Even if you are working with insurance you are still losing out..
You know ...I have corresponded with folks in Canada ,,who say that they have no concerns at all with regard to any medical issues they encounter in their lives,,,while here in America it is the source of major anxiety and depression...I am wondering if somehow the Canadian government can do something to allow US citizens to perhaps buy into their system..,,if for no other reason than for Canada to stick it to the US for being so unfeeling and insensative....I certainly would consider it in a heartbeat,,,if it means being a Canadian ..where do I sign up...
I am so damn frustrated with this government and their lack of any compassion or even interest ...unless you have GOOD insurance,,and/or loads of resources at hand,,,for me to get insurance for my pre-existing.. I would either have to be destitute or pay a insurance premium of nearly $700 per month,,,MEDICAL CARE IS A RIGHT ,,,NOT A PRIVILEGE and if that makes me a communist,,,then call me Lenin ..

I've heard of foreigners who'd pose as Canadians, probably why we need more security now because of fraud. That's one of the reasons that sadly I'm not covered anymore. Since my depression and laziness I hadn't renewed my picture card in years and so am no longer covered, and to get coverage again I need to prove I live here for # of days which is difficult to do without a job or school or knowing someone who can qualify as a guarantor. So it can suck pretty bad for Canadians too, but otherwise yeah it's true I had no concerns about care when I was covered, I always got what I needed.
