honey i am sooooo sorry! i am a mother of 3 and i can tell you this is just not acceptable. You need to do what is right for you, and if you feel like you need therapy then please get it, do not go over there and spend the night. I wish you would report it and if your mother does not support you on this then shame on her, I am not saying this to upset you but i can not get my head around your mom telling you this. you know he can be doing this to other children? You can keep another child from going through this. I can tell you people who do this to family will definantly go outside family too. You need to heal from this and going over there and nothing being done about this is not going to help you. please PLEASE stay away from there.

I'm sorry, I kind of got off course there. Things will never be the same again, but that isn't your fault. Your cousin chose to change things forever when he violated you. You should be proud of yourself for speaking out about what he did to you, because that takes a lot of guts! And I'm with Mars on the spending the night issue. There's no way you would be safe in the house with your abuser.

Hmmm..I don't see how the awkwardness is your fault. I don't see how you have a big mouth, either. Things won't be the same but that is part of growing up and facing responsibility for one's actions. Your cousin screwed-up big time and you were the one that ended up being hurt by it. Having to face what he did, you really did the right thing. Your cousins will respect you, especially as they grow up and become more mature in dealing with other people.

Can't you ask your cousin and brother to stay over at your mom's place? Just a thought.

Hi! I understand your feelings completely. I t doesn't seem fair that you should be put in the predicament of having to even make this decision. If your mom is one of the people you told she should not be suggesting you sleep over. It seems she shopuld be protecting you from the abuser and any fall-out from telling. If she is not one of the people you told - make her one! Please don't put yourself in any danger or in an awkward situation because others can't do their part! (no offense at all to your mom)

You're simply hoping that someone else will take the responsibility to tell you things WILL BE the same, so when shit goes horribly wrong, you can blame them. Not trying to be mean, but in my life experience, that's how co-dependent people like me think. And your statement seems very much in line with what I've seen other co-dependent people make.
