Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
The information the previous poster Betteroff... gave is very good. Your pediatrician and the hospital where you went today already have your parent's insurance information, and so does the therapist you saw before. They want to see the card every time, but that's just for their records and to make sure there are no changes. They can keep billing from the information they have on file.
If you have a history of panic attacks they should have taken proper steps to get a more accurate BP.
not lie...lol
The numbness you're having really needs to be evaluated. It certainly may be a manifestation of anxiety, stress, and suppressed rage at not being listened to or taken seriously. All that anger and hurt has to go someone. If it can't come out in a therapist's office,it's going to come out in your own body. I know that my physical pain increases exponentially when I am upset or frustrated.
Please don't hurt yourself. That will not make anything better.
If your father is genuinely concerned about paying for medical care, he might want to look into the CHIP program (Children's Health Insurance Program) in New Jersey. The income guidelines are very generous and the coverage in most states is better than typical private plans.
