Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
My Aunt, who has been driving me crazy since 1995, isn't talking to me. She had a heart attack 2.5 weeks ago. She has been in two hospitals and now a rehab. There is a long family history that I won't get into but my Aunt trusts no one. She accuses people of all sorts of things. So my other Aunt and I have been comparing notes. My Aunt has been acting like a crazy person in the hospital. Well, she got wind that we were talking and she told me not to tell my other Aunt anything and not to trust her. And she was rude to me the other morning and we haven't talked since. People are tired of hearing me talk about my Aunt and it was nice to talk to someone who also cares. I just feel bad that she's upset. Thanks for listening.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

She sounds like a very stressful person and maybe this could be sort of a trial period for you to be able to relax a little.
Just 2 days ago I ended a toxic friendship that lasted 7 years that was similar to your aunt in that all this person did was unload constant negativity and drama onto me. it took me years to realize that the friendship was not reciprocal, and then more time to end the friendship as well as a couple of conversations with my therapist on how to end things in an appropriate and assertive way.
Now that it's done I truly wish I had ended things sooner.
Wishing you peace
