Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
It is true we do not have control over a good 50% of life, we have our choices, we do the things we need to put ourselves in the careers, and cities, and places in life we want to be. Then life does the work of putting people in our path that become friends, best friends, boyfriends/girlfriends, partners and spouses. So you only get to control so much, as for the rest of it, you just get to live your life, making decisions that make you happy and be ready for the people and places that life puts in your path.
The end of a relationship hurts, it's not quite as quick and done as you describe in your post. You grieve that loss, just as you would any other. Allow yourself time to do so. Let yourself get back to you and who you are as a single happy person. Then when you're ready, you'll get back out there and see who life has in store for you.
Take care,
kat
Having someone to talk to and will encourage you in times like this is really important, I hope you can talk to a friend or family that you can trust. Someone who would want to see you happy.
I pray that you will keep going and never give up. Take care. Keep us posted, we are here for you. God bless.
