Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Lately my mind has been running. Thinking about all the failed relationships and maybe that I'll end up alone. Its not even that I'll end up alone but more so that maybe I'm being punished for being a sinner. I have a lot of great friends who think so highly of me and always all me out for being so genuine and heartfelt but why doesn't anyone else see that despite my endless efforts? Again, I relate it back to me being a sinner and God punishing me for years and years of ignoring Him or not appreciating everything He has given me. I try to talk to God quite often and explain that I am grateful for all that I have but my mind is just sick but I don't know if that's a proper excuse. I don't know how God really works anymore. People keep telling me to have faith but I am just sinking deeper into depression and anxiety. Is God testing me or punishing me? I asked for forgiveness, repented, and I try to do good as much as I can by volunteering my time and money to help others but I just feel so alone. More alone than ever. I don't know what to do anymore.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Thank you for sharing with us so honestly about how you truly feel. I want you to know that God is not punishing you. He is there with you and He loves you.
The Bible tells us not to be discouraged for He is with us. He will never leave us nor abandon us. When my mother was diagnosed with a terminal disease I experienced so much sadness knowing the person I love so much would suffer. I thought I was alone but I am thankful that I have a family of God. I have my life group who prayed with me and who were with me while walking through that season.
It would be helpful if you will surround yourself with friends who will speak hope and encouragement to you. Feel free to come back anytime, we are here for you. If you don’t have a life group yet, please join. You can also talk to your doctor.
I hope things will brighten up for you soon. Praying for you.
