Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I hope if there's something his passing can offer, it's what an awful thing it is for the people left behind. :) And how important it is never to kill oneself no matter how one feels on the day.
Well, I have two friends that committed suicide. An uncle as well. The friends were both girls, and were completely opposite of one another. One saw that a guy she had been absolutely obsessed with deny her even a reply to my knowledge (info from both sides), labeled as crazy, put in a mental "care" facility where she killed herself. That was my first friend that I spent a lot of time with in church and outside of it. Her dad was a cold-looking man. She also had anorexia, people complained about her voice being too high, her face (I thought she was pretty), and such, pretty much staying away from her. The other was obsessed with sex, just constantly. I never did anything to her, but she would lure in men. She also had an uncaring father. I am 29 now, but then I was 15, as was she. So I would always get these calls/text invites from her, always about sex, which I just didn't even try to help her to just... you know, get control? She killed herself for an unknown reason, but I think it might be because no one helped her out of the obsession, so when she saw that her entire life was about, she probably felt nothing really mattered.
My uncle took his life for a reason I don't know.
I suppose the best thing to do is to get to know people, don't hate, don't make them anxious, support them if you have the ability to (if you are already unable to support yourself, for example, you probably won't be able to support another person unless as actual miracle from God occurs. Don't worry, I am Christian, but I don't force it on people, Jesus literally says not to force it, so yeah.
Then there are people with something like alcohol in their system or genetic problems passed from parents, Which I've seen result in physical damage to a child. Emotional damage is real, so why wouldn't physical damage, causing them to be more likely to become severely depressed happen? That's actually one of the main reasons I didn't ever marry or have children. I don't want to pass down what was passed down to myself. I'd get married if I could support it and not drive her crazy, then we'd be able to adopt children, but with my health, I don't even date. It's been about a decade now.
Also, you have emotionally abused children & adults. Obviously that can make it more likely for someone to hate themselves, but ultimately, it all comes down to you, personally, to commit suicide. Myself, I've tried in my teens but nothing would do it. Nowadays, I am actually happy, despite not even being able to run for a few seconds, sleep, eat enough, and some things that the average person just wouldn't be able to take. So, you know, the strange thing is that you can find something good about anything if your mind is magnified hard enough. I've been through a LOT. It took decades for me to figure out what the silver lining on that cloud was, but then there are some where you nearly immediately notice. I mean, I'm bedridden, can't urinate most of the time without a catheter (tube), have nerve damage, destroyed my shoulder, have been through kidney stones which women who have given birth without medication compare them to. I also get lost in my mind, having to write things down within seconds of thinking, yet other times I can hold a memory longer. The memory is there, but I just can't get it at times. Same with words, I was the second best with spelling in school, and now I randomly lose words for a short or long time (names too, but not all the time). I'll be thinking "Hey, could I get some of... that stuff that you... it's white... you put it on stuff you eat? Not sugar? What is that word" Literally salt. Other times it is complex words. I've also been hit by cars several times, and when I was able to bike, I was at 45mph downhill, but cars wanted to pass since I was on a bicycle, so I decided to help by going slightly off road, something caught the front wheel, my GPS marked 45MPH, and I landed over 15 feet away while thinking to myself all in a brief moment, but to my mind, it was several minutes, "I'm about to fly into the asphalt and hit my neck, I need to fix this. I'll shift the impart to my shoulder... what is going to happen?" and so on. Now my shoulder, after healing a lot, still can't work long before it dislocates. Then there are three pinched areas on my spinal cord that inflame and completely paralyze whichever one is highest downward. That's some things. I'm legally on Fentanyl patches and have seizures if I don't take Benzodiazepines (Look up side effects and withdrawal effects. It's literally everything I can think of, yet you can't usually get off of it. I had an easier time getting off of three gallons of rum a week for a year).
So there are mental, physical, emotional, monetary, etc. factors that all come together to tempt someone to take their life. Like I said, don't blame yourself unless you did something HORRIBLE, and yet there would still be other factors.
So
