Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Discount the feelings of the depressed, as long as they're looking out for Number 1
Amen, brother.
I tend to think it makes us more aware, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad..
Hugs mister
Wasting breath and time on people is getting beyond a joke, so I quit.
I've found that so much depends on two big things: who the listener is, and how we choose to deliver the message.
There are people in my life that no matter how kind and wonderful and thoughtful I am, they will not listen to a thing I say. I think that is on them, it reflects their overall tendency to not listen. Or, they only hear what they want to hear.
Then, I've noticed with other people, that if I pause and think about what I'm going to say (rather than being too concerned with being witty and sharp),...if I tailor it to them , right there, at that moment, it has more of an effect on them. It reaches its target. And everybody feels better.
Age has given me much more patience when I'm dealing directly with people. AND, I think the wiser you are, the less you end up saying, ultimately...because so many people are so in love with the sound of their own voices, and their own ideas, that you just have to figure you're never going to get through to them anyway!!!!
Hope this made some sense.
I feel you obeylix, it's gotten past the point of ridiculous and wandered into no one gives a fuck land.
If you are going to isolate, then do so in complete style, miss nothing out
