I'm still around - from time to time..

I stopped taking my meds and went crazy.. my sister had her baby and its been bringing me down pretty bad. Then she asked me to be the Godmother and I gladly accepted - thinking that my husband was going to be the God father. She didn't even tell me - someone else did. So now I'm not going to be - I haven't told her yet but she'll find out - I told my mom. I can't beleive her - she knows my infertility is a problem both me and my husband have. She knows my husband wants nothing more then to be a daddy - or at least a God Father... I have no idea how her heads works.

I am finally back to work - driving truck and I'm also working on a manual for a local non-profit organization... which is woing good for me.

My mentor, aunt and best friend - my biggest support preson and the ONLY person I can talk to is very very ill - internal bleeding - she's down south in the hospital ICU and I don't know whats going on.. Im scared and worried to death.. please keep her in your prayers..

Sorry about your disappointment re: Godparenting. We cannot be responsible for the decisions of others. I hope you find happiness, peace, and tranquility. Good luck to you.

Sorry you are having a rough time hun. It was nice of them to make you the godmother but since you are godmother it doesn't automatically mean your hubby has to be the godfather. I have a goddaughter but my fiance is not her godfather. I know it hurts but you can't be mad at her for not choosing both of you. I am sure she had her reasons and I don't think she did it to hurt you. In my opinion I think it would be hurtful to turn down her request of you to be her godmother. I am going to be an Aunt soon for the first time but I will not be her godmother and I am fine with that. Being an Aunt is a joy in itself.

its actually a common practice to have god mother and father be from a different setting. less likelihood of both going down in flames and leaving no god parents. sorry you are upset about this, however. kinda wish you could accept, though, its a real great thing being a gos parent. btw not having the title does not stop either you or your husband from giving to the child as often as possible. plus in most places the godparent really has no legal standing and if you were not related to your sister by blood you would be last on the list of those considered to step in if something happens to mother and father. and yet another thought: wont your hubby have responsibility if you acquire it? he is your husband. anyway all of this is to say that i really hope that you will reconsider and be not only the best auntie the little one has but also the best godparent.
