Help?!?!?!?! I live in Lakeland, FL and no one wants to hire me, I suspect it's because of my depression. Can anyone give me some ideas? Or tell me how they got a job while..... influenced? Please

Don't mention the depression at the interview. They don't need to know that.

It's a sad commentary on the stereotyping of mental illness that even those of us who suffer with these problems feel the only way to achieve is to "fake it." I'm not saying I don't agree, I just think it's sad society can't understand that mental illness doesn't mean we're dangerous or a risk.

Besides the obvious of not mentioning you have mental illness in an interview, the title of the topic makes me wonder - what is a good job for someone with depression? I need to find a job with not too much pressure, that isn't the same shit different day, that doesn't involve too many interactions with other people lol - is there such a thing!?

About an hour before your interview take three valium and adderal.

And never mention any disability or disease until you start messing up then tell them it because of ADD or Depression. Then if they fire you you can try to sue for discrimination

Yeah I'm pretty good at faking self confidence. I'm not sure how but I used to be really confident, so I'm sure that helped. It might help if you told yourself that you will have no problem getting the job before going in.

Well anther month another job. They gave me a company pickup to use, in the job I just quit, and I smashed in both sides making turns too short.. The boss I found had a temper. He was away when I had my second accident and I knew If he flipped on me like he does on other people there I would probably get violent so on Saturday I left the truck in front of the building and a 5 page letter on his desk.

My bank account is now in the negative figures.

I had a good interview today the usual 3 valium 2 adderal interview and I think it went good.

Fortunitly I have a friend who has a Financial consulting company out of the house but has been in business for 10 years. I use his company on my resume to cover the past 2 years and when they call his company he always gives them glowing references.

I'll let you know if I got the job today I think I can deal with this one.
