Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I wonder if there is such thing as a healthy relationship and what would that even be. I don't think I have ever been in one, except maybe witha childhood friend. we just played and laughed all the time. i don't remember any drama or powerstuggles until we grew older and apart. but what about as an adult. I don't think I have ever experienced a healthy relationship. What I thought could be healthy relationships always wound up to be very toxic.
i come from a family of abusive people so that may have something to do with it.
can anyone explain what a healthy relatinship looks like and if you have experienced one, i'd like to hear something about it.

I have toys. So the ones I have not used or need any more, are gone in the trash. One of my toys is just a regular hand held massager with an attachment. The other is a real insertable toy. I can't believe this has gone on this long. So I don't have much hope of getting a tech job, but I saw an educational job that I thought might be really good. It would have been working at a university supporting high school students who are taking college classes. I did a mock interview with a friend and prepared extensively. You should never feel guilted, threatened, and coerced into doing things you don't want to do or feel comfortable with.
A healthy relationship makes you feel calm, secure, and loved in return.
There's a balance in the dynamics.
Since you've been in abusive situations all your life...you know what they look like. When being shown kindness, and care in a healthy way...it may feel odd and uncomfortable to you.
But it's a great questions...and I've asked myself that too. And with this questions, you are going to make some wonderful changes within yourself and have much personal growth.
Part of attracting and keeping healthy people around...is becoming one yourself. If you have any negative or toxic patterns you've accumulated in your life...you want to heal those parts, and develop better life skills.
Otherwise...we end up seeking what is familiar.
Sending you light and love.
