Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Have you been to see the doctor? Maybe they can help you.

It takes a special person to have depression and unless you have it you don't know how special you have to be.
Sorry i kinda started ranting there about nothin lol don't even think.it made any sense sorry
I have been right where you are buddy. I have the T-shirt and the tread marks to prove it. You know what I did and still do. I write poetry. Sounds pretty lame eh? When I first started all of my poems were dark and reflected my state of mind at the time. People say write in a journal. Poetry is better, it makes you really think, After a while I went back and read through some of my scribbles and I found that while they were still not about flowers and sunshine they were and are taking on a more positive leaning as I learned to think my way out of the darkness.
Every person makes a positive contribution to the world we live in, even if you do not recognize it outright. You have helped a lot of people on here, I have read their posts. Your helping me right now believe it or not. Your post drew me here and now I have found kindred spirits within this group who feel the way I do on many occasions. Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I truly mean that.
Keep the faith my brother, one day, one hour, one minute at a time we can help each other, we are human, we are linked, that's what we do, we help each other. I have heard that no man is an Island. Well if you feel like an Island just look up, I will be one of the coconuts hanging in the tree :) probably making stupid noises but it breaks up the monotony.
Anyone who judges you really needs to look in a mirror.
Sending smiles and sunbeams your way my friend !

Richie, I read this amazing 70 page book, and never had something move so quickly from head to heart. Not all wisdom hits everyone the same way, but if you are at sixes and sevens, you COULD give it a look!
In reading your post, the key words I'd hi-lite are 'right now'..these thoughts probably will diminish in time & you have to patiently give yourself time..it is like pulling a muscle ('charlie-horse'), that pain you feel will eventually subside and you will hopefully return to 'normal'..
In direct response to your question - there is no definitive answer as the question is very subjective..Killing oneself is no easy task; but neither is living..My opinion is that it is very courageous to overcome ones deep despair and plow thru their mental anguish (whether situational or chronic) taking on each obstacle one at a time..life is a marathon - the victor isn't the swiftest; it's the one who endures to the end..
