Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I know things look bad, but they do change and for now, just try and look at the good things in your life. You are still alive and okay; you will get a good meal on Thanksgiving; maybe you can even speak to someone at the church or pantry and make a friend, or at the very least, it's an outing.
I wish you luck, things can get better but you have to seek out some help, even if it's just for food.
When people say "Don't let it get to you" It's like saying "Don't have emotions."
Letting it get to you. You know what that's called? Being alive. Best thing there is. Being alive right now is all that counts. So never lose hope. You must, and always should be, the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes. You do not stand alone. Never forget that.
