um...wow..i am NOT a parent, but i don't feel that is the normal reaction.

This is going to be blunt. I would have someones nuts on a platter! Anyone ever touched any of my children and they better pray that I have the self control to not remove their anatomy. I would prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law and contemplate making the rest of their life a living hell.
Your Dad is so very wrong in this situation!!! Some people obviously should never have become parents. I am sorry that you are having to go through all of this. I would not let it slide. I would see what your actions are legally with or without his support. I hope they fire the asshole that did this to you as this is NOT acceptable on any level. Don't let him get away with this!!

@ LaynieK My Sergeant is helping me press charges and is reporting my dad to the child protective agency. The man was arrested last night and is being held until further investigation. And he's not allowed to be back at our school and they're discharging him from the military, I think.

@ Sulfur, I'm not in the military, I'm in a military boarding school as per his request. I'm still a kid and should have been treated this way by anyone.

I guess with this post I mostly just wanted to hear from GOOD parents and GOOD people exactly what they would do given this situation. I've never had his support and I wanted to hear what decent people would do for their children.

Good for your sergeant!!! It takes amazing courage to follow these things through and I admire you. I wish I would have had the courage at your age. I did later in life tho when I was sexually assualted, I threw his worthless ass in prison, it was not long enough but I hope it was enough of a lesson to keep him from doing it again. He now officially registers as a sex offender.
I am glad they are reporting your dad to child protective services! He needs to really get some help!!!
My best wishes are with you as you embark on this emotional journey. Don't give up! With all the support you are receiving through your sergeant it sounds as if this guy WILL be held accountable and hopefully by you standing up for yourself, he will never be able to hurt anyone again. I hope there are not any more victims that stayed silent, but if there are I hope they have the courage now to come forward. You probably saved countless numbers of other youths from enduring a horrible event. Good for you!!!

I, would call the police, and have them document the event. request a the report number of what the police documented, to refer to at a later time. if youre not allowed to phone the police, i would report kidnapping as well.

My Sergeant and I filed a report last night with both the military police as well as the actual police department. Because I'm a minor, I had to have a guardian do the report with me. And since my dad doesn't care, my Sergeant luckily was willing to do it with me.

as a parent, i would of taken the child out of the school. then call the governor because i call the governor like all the time. oh my gosh you have no idea how much i bug that secretary. id call the governor though and work my way down the referral chain of numbers until i reached the school board governing that school that the child was attending. i report the case to them, followed by the name and number of each person that i had talked to prior as evidence that i know my chain of command and i know their bosses boss. i would expect a personal response within 3 days, as of what their solution to this problem is. if i didnt feel that was enough or if they didnt call, i would call my governor, again i call the governor for everything. i would then proceed down the chain of command again, referring to past names and numbers and collecting new names and numbers, until i reached school board again. in which case i would address them that i have documented my experience with them, and i will be seeing them in court.

shame it happened but at least youll get closure. sounds like you have the right people doing the right things to document and prosecute this.

Go over your dad's head and even over the director if necessary. You should also be allowed to press charges although you will probably be pressured not to. It is not only inappropriate, it is a crime.

I usually don't like to comment on parental/child post. But, this one has really pissed me off. I can't believe you father did that to you. What does your Mom say? I am glad you have someone to help you through this at your school.

@ zazas. My mom walked out when I was 3 so my dad is my only hope for family support. Luckily I have school support and support here.
