Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
The way your father reacted was inappropriate. To me he showed a total disrespect tot his son. He would have to do a lot of explaining to you when you get older as to his reasons behind his lack of support., if he ever wanted a father-son relationship.
But let me prepare you. The way the court system treated my daughter and us (her parents), we felt we were being molested again, this time by the courts. Stay strong, this could go on for a couple years until that hall attendant gets what is due him.
Hugs to you. You're young andd strong....stand in there till the end of the fight. We are with you.
But I try to stay calm in bad situations. (Don't always manage it though) I'd likey try to comfort my child and remove him/her from possible future harm (may or may not mean removal from the school), and then get legal procedures started.
Yea, I'd be royally pissed.
I do so hope you get decent legal action against this person. It sounds like the school has acted properly by getting rid of that person and having your sergeant help you with the process.
He did get fired and yeah, my dad sent me away because I'm "in the way".
(you probably would not have been in the school in the first place though if it were my child)
Sorry to hear about the reaction from your father. I'm a geek. Maybe my geeky model of living might help. It's the old stimulus -- reaction model. As people everything we deal with is stimulus. How people respond, our reaction, depends on a lot of things.
I don't know, how your dad processed the stimulus. His reaction is different from yours, that's the obvious. How your father reacted, is out of your control. His programming is different from your. It's his problem.
Focus on stuff in your control. Maybe try to improve that relationship with your dad through communication. Or not. Maybe focus on good stuff, so you don't end up with programming you're not happy with.
