Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
So lately I have struggled with myself to be more social at work, to try to socialize with others more. I often feel like I'm laughed at behind my back, as the younger people will pass glances at each other alot when I speak or do anything that people might notice. Today I just can't take it. I emotionally feel as if I have been sliced up by thousands of razor blades, and just sitting around naked, wounds oozing blood and burning with every wind blowing my way. With my dad being sick, in the hospital, and facing the fact that he doesn't have much more time where he will be able to even go to the bathroom on his own, my mom's mental health declining, I know she is depressed, but she will never reach out for help. and today, I don't know if I could even give it. I just feel like I need a large bottle of vodka or whiskey. I really just want to run away from everyone here at work, and at home. I want to hide and not come out until I feel better. I don't have that luxury as I have to work no matter what. I feel old, ugly and gross to top it off.

The best antidepressant is when my wishes are honored. An example, the faucet in my apartment was running although the knobs were turned shut all the way, and one of the pulling strings on my ceiling fan came off. Hello,so I'm currently in a weird relationship with my long distance ex who I've never met in person and it's taking a toll on me. I've lost 15 pounds and lost my appetite, but I'm really attached to him. We've had a lot of problems and I think that has caused me to gain severe anxiety. I don't know if I should wait until it gets better or what. Everytime I've blocked him, it has tend to make me...

Something that might help...if you think of work as an outlet, something to focus on, you may enjoy it as an escape from what's going on with your family. I'm really sorry to hear that about your dad and your mom. It's tough, and it can consume our minds.
When I was younger and I got in trouble at home (nothing serious, just normal arguments and things like that), I loved going to school because it was my getaway. Now, if I'm sad at home or down about something, I try to focus on work - pop in some good music, try to make little conversations here and there, just enough to fill up that social meter inside of us, and focus on the tasks for the day. Because we can only take it one day at a time.
I hope you feel better soon, and take care of yourself. <3
Please take care of yourself. I pray that things will go well in your family. Please keep us posted.God bless.
