Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

i returned home from treatment a few weeks ago and i was there for about a month. it was an incredible experience which was very insightful and i went through a lot while i was there. however, now that i'm back i'm scared. i'm scared to relapse. i am terrified of just how easy it is to slip back into my depressive state. i've realized now that my anxiety was 10X worse than i thought in the beginning. that makes everyday tasks much harder. when i got back from treatment i just wanted to jump back into my life and i thought it would be all alright. now, i started my job again and it is making my days hell. dealing with so many people and the stress from my job has brought me a great deal of anxiety and panic attacks. i plan on quitting my job tomorrow because i've already missed so many days and i know that my boss is sick of my excuses, no matter how serious. does anyone have advice?

I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...

Has anyone heard from Jenn, she had an adult son with aspergers, Eric, they lived a long time with her grandmother, then they moved into an apartment. She had a funny little picture if I recall of a short dark haird woman as part of her name in a red dress. There are so many people who have dropped away from this room...I wonder where they are, and miss them. Wishing that DS could become what it...

If you were in hospital treatment program, you need time to adjust from the structured supportive days to moving back into your independent life...it's a transition, not just your illness...when you feel anxious, deep belly breathing can be a huge help....look it up on internet...also utube video meditations for 'grounding' to reduce stress...best of luck
