Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
my suggestion is to communicate via hugs and PM with dilq....
Seems she was really touched by your story...as I was..but I have never been thru it.
What I have been thru is.....leaving relationships...and feeling empty and alone...And I will tell you that every relationship that ended was meant to end for me to meet the next "better" phase of my life.
Its only been a short time since your breakup...you may look back on this in a year...and be like....WOW....I did the best thing ever.
Your grieving...I wish you strength and happiness....soon.
I left my husband of 15 years because he didn't love me, he wanted a caretaker only and I couldn't handle it anymore. I divorced him and started over in a state 600 miles away with no friends or family close by. I had a lot of hard times over the next 4 years and there were times that I doubted whether I made the right decision. My faith was sorely tested.
What I'm trying to say BrooklynnMB is that in all likelihood you didn't screw up, you just think you did right now because you are feeling depressed. Don't be so hard on yourself. The Good Lord gave you intuition for a reason and you used it at the time. Please give yourself some credit and know that we are here for you if you need someone to talk to. My prayers are with you. Let me know how you are doing, I care.
