Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Not good.
So for me it is safety first, within reason. Not going to put my child in a bubble to protect them from 100% of anything. Just the big things.
Our pediatrician suggested a "let them cry it out" method where we let them cry for 5 minutes, then went back. Then 10 minutes, then went back. Then 20 minutes, etc. Make it progressively longer.
Tag teaming babies is a great trick. Get help, like the others suggested, and then leave. Go someplace that does not have children. When you get back odds are you will need a baby fix so bad the crying will not upset you!
And yes, you as a family, will find a routine that will work for all of you!
When it comes to caring for babies there are two groups of people. Those who know it all, and then there are the actual parents!
Gentle hugs
It's unfortunate these days because so many moms can't turn to other moms because it's like the "olympics of mommyhood" as who can get the most gold medals for doing EVERYTHING right and not making any mistakes at all from birth til they turn 18. I sometimes have people ask why I still stroll my baby and I say because I know him and I'm not going to let him get hit by a car! Oh and the super fun one is when they ask why I still hold him sometimes, well last I checked there's no age limit when it comes to holding them, but hey what do I know right? You're a good mom and you do what's best for you and your baby!! Sending big hugs!
As none of us are ever taught how to be a mom nor does children come with instruction manuals with every piece of advice you get on parenting you must always understand each child is unique one from the other. And what may work for one child may not for the next.
With that said only YOU know your child more then any. And as parenting requires patience and comes with many trials and errors you must be confident in your abilities to raise your child the best way you can!
Try not to get too frustrated and do what works for YOU and your family!
And always remember and cherish these moments spent with your little one as they won't last forever and before you know it your son will be graduating high school.
This battle is just the beginning but as any great mom you'll be fighting for your son the rest of his life so don't get weary now!
You Can Do This!
Go down to other end of house, climb into bed and sleep.
Babies don't die in their beds from screaming. They only die from mummy chucking them out the window after 3 days with no sleep.
This is a hard lesson but a vital one. Mummy actually DOES have to come first. This is not up for grabs.
When he's back on an even keel after a good sleep you can then feed him three hourly if breastfed, four hourly if formula, and water in between if baby won't sleep. You have to keep feeds spaced out or they get colic and wind.
If this isn't working, then start to look for issues like how bad the labour was, if the neck might need adjusting. Has the baby a hiatus hernia or something other that's odd? What does the doctor say?
But babies don't really care if they're not being held. They will sleep if bed is warm and they are tired.
But they have to get over a hump: a hump of screaming. Takes between 10 mins and an hour. screaming is good for peristalsis, the trick is for mum not toget too screwed up about it. Hence my suggestion of the vacuum cleaner. Makes a louder noise and you don't have to hear the crying.
