Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I just recently lost a friend to suicide and I can tell you that the domino effect that is causes is real and very heartbreaking for everyone.
Please, if you need to talk, reach out to someone. I would be more than happy to lend an ear and help you.
What alternatives have you looked in to so far? Medication? (can take a whole lot of playing around with meds to get the one(s) that are going to work for you personally). Therapy? Lifestyle changes? You have to take a personal inventory of what you've done to help your depression and explore all avenues before you decide to do something so drastic to solve it. There is help out there. If you are feeling that an attempt at suicide is imminent, I would call a crisis help line in your area. No one deserves to feel that their life is worthless enough to just end it.

Keep it anonymous but we need to know things like diagnoses/treatments, something about your family life, do you go to school?, what is it you would like to work on the MOST ...
It would be best to put this info in your PROFILE because discussion threads get lost in the shuffle and you don't want to have to explain it all each time you post. DS is a support site .. and we stand by to offer support. Help us help you.
Do not harm yourself. Love yourself .. it is the gateway to happiness. Very simple .... actually.
Okay so just some info about me..I've been moving around most of my life (I've lived in Wales, India, Hungary and Australia). I see my psych 2-4 times a week (we've tried mainly CBT but other types of therapy as well) and I've been on different medications, currently I'm on lexapro but most recently I was on Prozac. I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety as well as OCD..I've tried many, many things to change how I'm feeling but nothing has helped, and every day it gets worse. So, yeah, this is the hell that I call my life.

I just Googled "Is ocd treatable?". Recommend you do the same though it sounds like you and your treatment for it is 'about right'. That, combined with the other diagnoses makes for a pretty big problem .... which calls for 'big guns' to beat. Your reply indicates some 'treatment resistance', but personally, I think plenty of research and willingness to recover will prevail. Plenty of good PROFESSIONAL attention for sure. One thing in your favor ... you are young and your mind and body will do some more maturation ..... which ... combined with CONTINUED treatment may make a HUGE difference. Seriously ... an adolescent mind is vastly different from an adult mind .. .though you are VERY 'advanced' it seems ... still, changes await.
I/we REALLY do not want you to harm yourself ... we want you to WIN, .. and I think you can. Work hard at it, and learn all you can about it, and you can probably win over ... at least some or a lot of it. Good luck. I will be thinking of you.
