I'm 14 and I've been struggling with depression for almost five years know. I honestly don't know what to do cause nothing makes me happy anymore and I just feel like shit. I've been hospitalized and I take shitty meds but I feel like dying right know

I feel like shit too. Med and therapy can only help. I have to get massages every week. I found out massage help myself. My doctor cannot do anything about it. Experiment things of what makes you feel better. You only know yourself the best.

Reach out to a counselor at school or therapist to help you. I feel really empty sometimes and want to quit but then I start thinking about positive things and I make sure I display gratitude towards others it's helpful for me to get back my mojo back.

Have you tried to get out of your head and get outside and partake in something physical? You're fourteen, and you have an entire life ahead of you. Teenage years are what they are, full of emotions and feelings we've never experienced. We've all been there, and we all grown up. Stop worrying so much about yourself and how unhappy you are, and start having some fun. Force yourself to get out of your head, and into some fun.

I am sorry for what you are going through. Do you see a therapist or a counselor? If not, that might be helpful. As Lenoire suggested, start enjoying yourself. You are a teenager with so much to look forward to. Try to get involved with one or two groups at school. Stay positive and be strong so you can turn your life around to be what it should be for you. I wish you the best.

Is there something you know of that triggered the depression? Meds have side effects, and I recommend speaking with your doctor about how you're feeling. I used to be on meds that had known side effects of creating suicidal thoughts and depression. Even when I was off the meds, I still had to overcome depression...which was my cause of suicidal thoughts. Honestly, I was just so overwhelmed, there was so much chaos in my life. I didn't get better until I learned how to deal with stress. We're here for you.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...
