Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
The World is full of Injustices, starving children, children born to drug-addicts and thrust into a life of instant withdrawals they never asked for, girls and women sold for sex and slavery, children beat most of their life for no good reason or molested and raped by the parents they were told would love and protect them....Life is sure as hell not Just, the World is not guaranteed to be Good. These days it almost tips the scales more inherently Evil.
A persons Deeds and Actions do not control their moods and emotions. That would be an awesome theory, if it could be genetically proven. Unfortunately we live in human bodies, with brains subject to illness and disease. Mental Illness and imbalance of chemicals controls mood and emotion, regardless of your Good Deeds and Acts. Does this mean you stop doing them and give your life to the spoils of man? No.
Just because your Good Deeds don't control your Mood is not a reason to join the Evil that pervades the Life we live each day. Treatment with medication, therapy are how we battle the Depression that tanks our moods. The Good Deeds and Good Acts are how we keep our Conscious in good order, Faith is how we keep our Spirit in good order, Justice is not up to us, there are Higher Powers that take care of that.
I hope that you find a way to make it through your days a bit more positive soon, taking it 1 day at a time. I hope that you find treatment for the Depression that tanks your mood. I hope you find the ability to find a little Humanity in the World, regardless of the Injustice that's out there. There are no guarantees in life, but if you just give up on it, you miss the possibilities.
Every situation challenges us, and the most challenging situations threaten to bring out the worst in us. Well, I suppose not having enough challenges also brings out the worst in people.
I guess if I want to get really existential, we are each creating who we are every moment. We are a collection of decisions, attitudes, and random happenstances. Sometimes we are tested. I think often a challenge does bring out who someone was all along, but I also can see people having a real transformation either for better or worse. Or a situation calls for someone to transform, and they fail. Just depends.
