Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

It sounds what you are saying is that your whole life has spun out of control, and that is so overwhelming for you that your no longer able to care.
Have you tried journaling? I recommend the book "An Artits Way" and what is suggested in there is a very specific journaling. What you do first thing, well maybe after a cup of coffee if you are needing that, then you sit down with a regular size notebook and spend 15 min. Writing . Writing anything that comes to mind and if at first you have troubles doing that then just write that down ....I am supposed to write here but don't know what to write.... and keep writing without thinking about what you are putting down on paper. Important here is that you do this every.morning and non-stop for the full 15 min. Don't read what you have written for at least a month or never. It's an exercise which will eventually allow you to write out everything that troubles you and that will take much of the pressure off your mind where right now you have it all stored.
Another thing the book has you do is every day for one week, is to find something to do that is fun for your inner child. Like get a bubble maker and spend time with that, just sit outside if you can and blow some bubbles. Or another week draw or duddle with crayons, or sing, it's just something that you did when you were a little girl.
Then once a week have a date just for you. If you can go to a yard sale, a thrift shop, buy a cup of coffee and really enjoy it. Of buy an ice cream, anything cheap but fun and something you like, excluding casino.
I take it you are a smoker, I would co sider quitting. It's very difficult to do but WHEN you accomplish something that hard it can do wonders for your overall feelings of pride, something you could use right now.
A AA or Alenon is a great place to get support as well, but find a group that fits your needs, maybe you like a small group or a larger group, I don't know. A small group has more time for each member to speak which is more beneficial for being supported, a large group lets you remain more by yourself and listen more less involved. Go to where you fit best you can always change groups.
Find the book I mentioned on Amazon and read a sample, you won't have to buy it, just to get an idea of what in it.
Other then that, keep your journaling on this website, it's a good resource, and keep posting here, you are not alone! Everyone here cares.
Hugs

I do journal.hours, not minutes, every day.
I am not a lush.
For me, cigarette smoking is an asset, not a liability.
Since the minor stroke three years ago, it is difficult for me to read and comprehend books. Or even posts here more than 2 short paragraphs long.
