Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Firstly...mothers... tell me about it. Is living with her temprary? Will you be able to find your own place soon?
Secondly, Im sure your gandpa will be ok, its always scary when our reletives go into hospital, but especially when theyre older, maybe go and spend some time with him before hand.
Weight gain... its not too drastic, curves are in dont you know :P
Try to relax and tackle each issue one at a time.
Routine procedures never feel routine when it's your own family, but try to hold on to the fact that it IS routine these days, and he'll feel so much better afterwards.
Give yourself some space and time.
I hope grampa comes thru surgery well. I am an RN, and can tell you that bypass has become much more routine, and has been perfected over the years, but of course you are scared. It is normal. If you can, go spend some time with him before the surgery, it will make both of you happy! As far as gaining 10 pounds goes, don't beat yourself up about it, it is very common, especially freshman year to gain weight. don't kill yourself trying to lose it. Go slow, be positive, and you will be fine! Hope things are better soon, and that tomorrow is a happier day! Hugsxxx
