Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
BiPolar is not something that goes away, you can't cure it, it's not cureable. It can have "remission" like phases, but those should be taken with kidgloves, because its still there. Meds and Therapy are the only way to treat it, or should I say the medical ways to treat it. Other Therapy modalities can help also, dbt, biofeedback, yoga, relaxation exercises, etc. You can always try minimal meds mixed with a few other more physical Therapies and see if that gets it back in control. But if you just let it go, and ignore the need for meds, it will just get worse.
I'm really dreading going back to the clinic because it's so involved. I have some medication left. It does calm me down, but I really don't like how I feel on it and it makes it hard to sleep.
