I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

It may change your life. When you have been "sober minded" for a while, you can choose for yourself what comes next. (sober minded) as opposed to being a sober person who still has all the behavioral thinking processes of a habitual drinker. paradigm shift time. Message me anytime, I got plenty of my own fish to fry, but if I can help I will.
The only way to stop being an alcoholic is to stop drinking alcohol. Dry out. Go through the hell of it.
go tell dad, tell mum, and get them on board for drying out. You can only dry out if you understand why you're drinking to start with. So get the book, drink away while you read it, see what you think.
This is not a big deal. You can do this, Like any challenge it's hard when it's in front of you but easy peasy when it's behind you. I laugh at people smoking now. I think it's silly, and easy to quit. But before I managed to quit it was very hard and seemed like a giant mountain.
Ask yourself what you want out of life. Ask yourself what future you want, who you want to be. You're currently getting absolutely nothing, and will die with nothing. If you want something, you have to shift your direction from drinking your life away, to taking up some challenges and pursuing them.
Now is a good time to do this. Time to change. You're not getting any younger. This will NOT get easier the longer you leave it.
go buy that book. Allan Carr. Brilliant guy.
