I started a new school Friday and I see these people that are alone and sad. And I'm one of those people who tries and helps people who are sad and don't have have anyone to talk to. So I saw this boy and he's in my class and he's always alone on the playground so I have my friends trinity and kaylee to go over there and talk to him. His name is caston and he already knew trinity. But kaylee kept calling him alone, lonely, or has no friends. And I kept saying stop saying that. I wanted to be friends with him. And she keeps saying that I can't be friends with him or her or him or her and on and on. The people I met that were really nice to me she said about some people that I can't be friends with them. So I had to ignore this guy that was really nice to me. I wanted to just shout and say "hey!" but I couldn't. Ugh what should I do?

Why are you listening to this person who is telling you you can't be nice to someone? They're not your parent and you've got your own life to live.
Take this situation and put two people in a romantic relationship into it. Does a lover dictating their significant other's relationships seem healthy? No. That's abuse by law.
Sorry, but this Kaylee just seems jealous to me. I used to be just like her and I think she needs to get it into her head that your life is not hers to mess with.

Is there any particular reason she thinks you can't be friends with these people? That's really bizarre.

To me, it sounds like she doesn't want you to befriend this boy because he "has no friends" and is therefore uncool and she doesn't want to become uncool by association.

If this is what's going on then that is a shame, and you really need to just do what makes you happy rather than try to hold on to an image for this other girl.

Guys y'all need to check a person's profile before you answer them. This is a 13 yr old child. You don't tell a 13 yr. old child to "think of a lover dictating their significant other's relationships seem healthy? No. That's abuse by law."

Support is great, as long as it's age appropriate. The words "playground' should have been a clue.

I love that you want to help a fellow classmate who may seem lonely or sad. It shows those around you just how kind and compassionate you are! School is hard –especially when you’re new! From my perspective it sounds as though there is maybe a little bit of bullying going on? Have you talked with your parents about this? What do they say? Would you be willing to talk with your school counselor as well? Your teachers might also want to know – they are experienced in helping students adjust, sometimes they’ll even create a “buddy system” for this very reason.
You have a gentle heart my dear. Good luck with school – please always remember that there is always someone to help with any of your struggles – your parents, teachers or even an adult in Sunday school!
