Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I have attempted suicide. It's hard to to carry on with life when that's the last thing you want.
I have to make the choice on a daily basis to live. I wake up and i go to my therapists or docs and i take my meds cos i know i have to.
I can't say i'm in your situation but i do struggle with money, i am on an invalids benefit and it's not really enough to live.
It about making little changes at a time. Maybe you could talk with your brother and see if he could start to pay you back some of the money he owes you.
We have to make our own changes, we might be waiting a long time if we only rely on god.
God is not in crisis. He is in full control.
As for 2012, have you ever heard of false prophets and Jesus saying that we should never try to guess the time of His return?
God isn't some kind of 'maker of all things well' time is endless and this life is like one grain of sand in all the sand in the world. When you look at eternity this way, you will see how God see's a much bigger picture than we can.
Have faith and love, it's all He asks.

When I am feeling like the world is on me and it sucks, I think of JOB!!! I wish you Peace in the knowledge that 'someday' 0;) it will all be worth it!
I think that the more we realize our God-nature and the more we forgive both ourselves and others, the more we love ourselves and others as part of God, we get closer to enlightenment.
The body is the last thing we give up that keeps us separate from God and if we die in a state of enlightenment, we continue in a blissful state without a body. Otherwise we continue in some other form until we work out our pain, fear, and anger.
I'm sorry about the difficulty you're experiencing with your brother and I empathize; I've had plenty of pain in my own life too. But I also know that if I am constantly aware that I am one with God and with all life, I can't really suffer. My mind is not yet disciplined enough to experience freedom from pain, but I hope to one day, probably not in this lifetime.
In the here and now it doesn't always help much. We still have to deal with bills, sickness, emotional difficulty, the whole human thing. But people who attained enlightenment didn't get it from cushy lives, they just learned to rise above all the muck.
I wish for both of us refuge in the God that is within us.
Love, Beth
