That is embarrassing. For them to take the card, there would have been some kind of message with the decline. I would get to the bank and get a new card ASAP.

How can they confiscate your card from you? that is really suspicious! I think you should contact the bank about it, maybe get them to cancel it and send a new card.

When i was working & had a card that it said, "take card" i never did. They would probably shoot me if i did.

Id go back to the store & pitch a bitch. Tell them to call the bank or you call from the store & let them talk to the bank & GET YOUR CARD BACK!!!!

definitely call the bank. most have someone to take care of these type things 24/7.. something or someone has compromised your card hun.. call the bank now.. when it asks you on the 800 number for an option you need to hit the " lost or stolen credit card" one. that should get you to a representative.

I will contact the bank but it is closed now.. I just dont understand why they had to take my hard.. total humiliation.. Im just glad someone didnt steal my identity and take my money.

Some big time thugs here in Utah have been putting their own contraption on the front of gas pumps and stealing peoples identifications here.. About 180 stations have been found with them.. Can you even believe it? They said not to use your card at the pump and I did two days ago.. UNREAL

I would go back to the store and ask to speak to the manager about what happened.

The card would be in the register still if properly handled [not stolen by a thug]

MAYBE .. you used your card at a 'bugged' gas station .. where crooks got your card number/pin. They then sold that info to some other crooks who have made unauthorized charges .. maybe even in another country .. which 'flagged' your account .. resulting in your card being denied and confiscated.

I AM JUST GUESSING HERE. I am sure the bank can explain in the morning.

thats your account card. thats identity theft. id call the police and demand the card be given back and report them. unless THEY ARE THE BANK you do not have to give your card to them.

Actually, I have never heard of a merchant confiscating someone's card .. deny 'em yes .. confiscate, no. I have heard of ATMs confiscating cards.
