Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
just really tired of being alone and not having a significant other. my family hurts me a lot with their indifference and meanness. it's weird because when i was younger i did have the urge to end my life but now that i am older (53) i realize that makes no sense. i just feel sorry for myself because my life it not happy and is super difficult. i don't have hope, really. i don't really want hope that much, i just want rest and peace. i'm glad there are people online who will write to me. it means a lot to me. my life is sort of disturbing and weird. that's not what i want. i want comfort, happiness, normalcy. i feel shunned by my own species a lot of the time. i'm a loner which i think is really unhealthy but it's not by choice. i don't know why it's so hard to connect. i'm in therapy but that not what i want or really need.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I'm so glad you shared your feelings and your story because you sound very deserving of genuine help, care and/or support.
I'm not going to try to relate to your situation and share my story because it's probably not going to help all that much. So instead I'd like to share something with you that I think a lot of people forget. Especially when they has been to the breaking point of suicide. It becomes hard for them to reach up and go after a good life, once they've fallen so low.
Anyways.
Sometimes people already have all of the power they need to make the life changes they seek and the humongous strength to overcome their pain problems and fears from their past. However they don't know how to bring it out of themselves and might not even know it's there at all!
I think these people would feel weak, helpless and possibly empty. And it's horrible to think of all that potential being wasted because someone just didn't believe in themselves.
There's no shame in asking for help, support and encouragement. To boost your confidence and light your spark. So you can find the life tools u have hidden within you.
Fortunately,, we have control of ourselves so we can make anything happen. We literally get to choose the life we want. Ther are endless paths, all going different directions. We simply have to put ourselves onto that path. Then follow it to get what we want. The hard part is choosing and deciding what life we really want.
So Wendy
If you don't like something,
change it.
If something upsets you,
get rid of it.
If you want something,
go get it!
Start with small changes and see what an impact something new and positive can have on your life.
If you want happiness then you have to be the one to go get it. Whether that happiness is hidden somewhere inside you or in something else.... never stop chasing it. Then when you find it never forget it and smother and drench yourself in it everyday because you deserve that happiness.
