Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Hello,
I'm so tired, don't sleep well, feel down, and sad. I am not a nice person, I am trying to make changes, I don't like my job, I want to go back to school but have not been motivated to study for the exam for admissions.
It's hard to talk to other people because they always ask, "What's wrong, why do you feel sad?" Sometimes with depression, you just feel sad, with no reason, you don't know why, it's more of a chemical imbalance.
I'm just tired too b/c I have trouble sleeping, but I also eat unhealthy foods. I'm overeating and not being active as I should be trying to lose weight. I also get into verbal arguments with people in public and can't control myself sometimes.
My significant other whom I have been with for almost 12 years, March 4 it will be 12 years officially. We have not gotten married and finally have started couples counseling. He has never been emotionally supportive, never proposed but we agreed to get married, but he never makes plans or talks about plans to get married. I used to ask him but he would always get upset or annoyed with me, so I don't anymore. I am just sad that this relationship is not progressing. I am trying to take a stand but I am sad without him.
Please pray for me to have strength.

Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
